Custom railings in Oakville, drawn for your space and built to measure
When a standard kit won’t fit your curve, angle or stair, custom railings in Oakville are drawn for your exact space and built in our shop to the measure.
- Drawn before fabrication
- Built to measured dimensions
- Glass, aluminum and stainless
- OBC Part 9 heights
Free on-site measure, in every city we serve
We come out, measure the real stairs, deck or entry and talk through the options at no cost. If you send photos first, you also get a same-day ballpark.
You approve a drawing before anything is cut
Every job starts with a dimensioned drawing that shows heights, spacing and finishes. If something looks wrong on paper, it gets fixed on paper.
One crew, from measure to install
Whoever measures your job is who installs it. You never explain the project twice or chase a subcontractor.
The details
What custom actually means here

Built to the measure, not cut to fit
Every railing we install is fabricated to your dimensions in the shop. Cutting to fit on site is how gaps and crooked posts happen, so we don’t do it.
Shapes a kit can’t handle
- Curved glass railing
- curved corners where a deck, landing or balcony bends
- Stepped panels
- glass or pickets that follow the rise of each stair
- Odd angles and corners
- runs that turn where the house turns
- Mixed materials
- glass in an aluminum frame, a glass return at the entry, a stainless rail beside aluminum pickets
- Decorative centre panels
- a feature panel set into an aluminum run
Custom glass railing
A custom glass railing starts with the same 12 mm tempered panels as our standard systems, sized to your layout before they’re ordered. Where the view is the point, a frameless glass railing with stepped or angled panels keeps the line clean.
Custom aluminum railing and handrails
A custom aluminum railing can carry a RAL colour matched to your windows or soffit, a picket profile matched to an existing run, or a decorative centre panel. Custom handrails in round stainless can be mitred to follow a stair instead of stepping over it.
Lobbies, terraces and other bigger spaces
Lobbies, mezzanines and storefronts rarely have a standard layout either. Larger jobs like these are covered under our commercial railings work, drawn and built the same way.
When custom isn’t the right call
If a standard system does the job well, we’ll tell you, because custom work costs more and takes longer. We’d rather say no before your deposit than sell you something you don’t need.
How it works
How a job runs, from free quote to walk-through
Five steps, the same on every job, whether it’s a front step or a full deck.
-
1. Site measure
We come to your home and measure the actual stairs, deck or entry, free of charge. The written quote comes from real numbers, not a photo and a guess.
-
2. Drawing and free quote
You get a dimensioned drawing and a written, itemised quote for glass, posts, hardware and installation. Nothing is cut until you approve it.
-
3. Fabrication
We build the railing to the measured dimensions, so nothing gets trimmed to fit on site. Aluminum pickets are welded in the shop and powder-coated.
-
4. Installation
The same crew that measured your job installs it, usually in one day at a front entry and two to three days on a deck. We work through the winter, too.
-
5. Walk-through
We walk the finished railing with you and check every post, panel and fastener. Your written workmanship warranty comes with the final invoice.
Why us
Why hire us for custom railings in Oakville
Custom railings in Oakville live or die on the drawing, because every odd angle has to be solved on paper before metal or glass is cut. You approve panel sizes, post positions and heights first, and changes at that stage cost nothing.
The shop that draws your railing is the shop that builds it, and the crew that measured is the crew that installs it. Nothing gets lost between three different companies.
- Free on-site measure, plus a same-day ballpark from photos
- A written, itemised quote, with no surprise extras later
- A dimensioned drawing you approve before anything is cut
- The same crew from the measure to the walk-through
- A written workmanship warranty with the final invoice
Questions
Custom work questions, answered
How long do custom railings in Oakville take?
Custom work follows the same path as our standard jobs: about two weeks from approved drawing for a front entry, and three to five weeks for a full deck. Unusual glass sizes can add lead time, and we tell you up front when they do.
Where can I find custom handrails near me?
We build custom handrails across the GTA, and the on-site measure is free in every city we serve. Round stainless, aluminum and wall-mounted rails are all made to the measured stair.
Can you build a curved glass railing?
Yes, we build glass railings with curved corners where a deck, landing or balcony bends. We confirm the shape and the panel sizes on the drawing before the glass is ordered.
Can a new railing match one I already have?
Usually, yes, because profile, spacing, post caps and colour can all be matched to what’s already on the house. Send a photo with something for scale, and we’ll tell you honestly whether it will match or only coordinate.
Do you work with my deck builder or contractor?
Yes, most of our jobs come through deck builders, landscapers and contractors. We coordinate blocking, post locations and install order directly with them, so nobody has to open finished work back up.
Is a custom railing more expensive than a standard one?
Usually, yes, because custom work takes more drawing time and often special glass sizes. The written, itemised quote shows exactly where the extra cost sits, so you can decide what’s worth it.
